OMgoodness, what an amazing women's conference and then a word from Pastor Mike yesterday that "dove tailed" into the conference - and he had no idea what was spoken - but GOD did. :) BREAKTHROUGH. We understand that, don't we? I remember God telling me one day when I was crying out in prayer. "I need a break - my family needs a break." He responded to me, "no, you need to BREAKTHROUGH!" Amen, and yes Father. :) It was great also to go to a conference with sugar free options - apples, bananas, Jenny's mock s'mores (thanks, girl. I know you worked hard. And how funny to see non-hcg folk eating them as well), grilled chicken without the stuff on it. YUM! Now it's really time to focus on the holidays. Don't forget our taste party at my house on November 6th. I need to know if you are coming, so I can plan accordingly.
I made spaghetti squash last week - "to die for" and almond flour pizza last night that my husband said was the best pizza he had ever eaten. Thanks be to God who helps us with creative recipes to live life in a healthy manner.
Someone asked me about medications. Let's review: STAY on all meds until released by your doctor. I am NOT a doctor nor a nurse, only a health advocate who desires to see people walk in freedom! You should visit your doctor before you begin and then every three to four months in the beginning to have your blood checked. That is the ONLY way to remain safe. I so do that! The only medication I took myself off was the reflux med. All others my doctor is weaning me off after 30 years of taking some of them. :) Great report from the dentist again last week! She said, "you must be doing something right - your gums really tell the story." She said the gums will confess when people are eating too much sugar. Two weeks ago my eye doctor told me that looking at the veins in my eyes told him a lot about my health - and he said, "you look amazing from the inside." Isn't it cool that our bodies "rat us out." Two different types of visits - but both confessing that my body is healed and whole - AMEN!
Keep making great choices and living one day at a time. Confess as Cheryl does, "Hi, I am Cheryl, and I am loosing 100 pounds." SOOOO proud of you, girl! Mine........ "Hi, I am Kathy, and for the first time in my adult life, I am healthy." What is your confession today? :)
Choose life and eat to live,
PK
