Good morning - hoping that you are enjoying the daily journey of living in a healthy body. :) A friend and I were together yesterday and we were encouraging each other concerning the journey. Every day is a choice and somedays it's not easy to do what's right. Can anybody identify???? It's those days that having friends who can encourage you really helps. Doesn't it? We talked about KNOWING ourselves well enough that the smallest cheat would lead us down a path we've been so many times. Licking the spoon while cooking, tasting a bite while we cook for our families, taking a pinch off the cookie are all SMALL things. But the Bible says it's the small foxes that spoil the vine.
I am not fearful of licking the spoon when cooking for my husband - I am conscience of the results of one slip as I have done it so much! Try to cook for your families when you are refueled and not hungry. Try making things for your family using almond flour and xylitol. One of the fam made cookies and pancakes for her family last week that are on our maintenance plan, and they loved it. If nothing else, substitute xylitol for sugar in all your recipes. The more I read the more I understand the importance of eliminating white sugar.
Praying your day is filled with laughter and the joy of the Lord gives you strength!
Choose live and eat to live,
PK
