Last night I was talking with someone and reinforcing that while maintenance is the place where we increase our food, it can really be the place where we have to "watch it." I was thinking isn't this like the children of Israel? They came out of bondage - out of slavery - out of chains and a week later were complaining. God help us. Leaving Egypt and going into the Promised Land represents our house of abundance. BUT......there are giants in the land. God NEVER promised to destroy the giants - he left that for us to do.
Those giants for us are tiny excuses to cheat that lead to paths we never need to travel again, false expectations, overeating a little here and there and not weighing (remember you can gain 10 pounds before your clothes show it), getting tired of doing what is right and reverting to fast foods - all of these can still be in our land of promise. So let's be mindful - let's help encourage each other - prayer is our best weapon. If someone has dropped their sword (as I did many times) come along side and grab them and pray your way to safety! Don't start looking back and accepting the lies of the past. Each of you are on the path to health - grab your sword and choose life.
