Preparation.....
Yes, there are lots of different personalities that God created. And we are all unique and that makes us special. One of my sticky notes that I heard Jentzen Franklin say several years, that has often kept me to my course, is, "If any two of us are identical, then one of us is unnecessary." People being unique is a God-thing. I have really strong opinions about how each of us was sketched and created in God's book laying on the table beside his throne. And then, at HIS PERFECT TIME SLOT, he implanted us into the womb of our mothers. And yet, while we are so unique, we LIVE in the same world.
In this world, we all face issues. There's no escape. I was talking with a dear girl friend yesterday and reminding her that choosing health and planning our meals so we are not "caught in a pinch" is NEVER going to be convenient or easy. Not for me anyway. BUT.......preparation is the real key to success for us as we ALL achieve our health goals. (by the way......do you have some? Last year I placed sticky notes all around saying, "what does a 10 look like?" By the late summer, I knew. This year.....I want a final size and to create a storehouse of new recipes that will help our team live healthy lives with purpose) We can't plan to go back after we reach this year's goals. We can't move the boundaries and expect to live in health and not return to the YUCK of our past (yesterday's blog)
Preparation is for YOU! I find that many of us do everything for everybody and think of ourselves last. Have you ever wondered why when an airplane is in trouble and the oxygen masks drop down, they ask the adults to secure their masks first??? If no adults, the children suffer! Same principle here - if your health suffers because you don't have time to make a plan, long term many more than you will pay the price. Plan those meals......cook ahead and freeze in your weighed portion sizes........always pack a meal with you in the event you're stuck and can't get home........continue to remind yourself "I am eating what I choose"........buy those smaller clothes as you get healthy as your reward as opposed to an unhealthy meal at Longhorn. :)
Choose life and eat to live, PK
