Hope you are having a MERRY Christmas so far. We heard a great message on this yesterday. :)
Got any good food choices that you've been playing with that you could share?? I am always looking for the next yummy recipe - especially as I plan to start back on the drops on the 31st. I will tell you that the hardened coconut milk that I used in the whipped cream gave an amazing taste - but my brother and my husband drank the remainder of the water from each can - it brought the royal flush..... :) (wink) So, if you're having some issues in that area, go get a can of coconut milk - not the sweetened kind - chill it well - use the solid top to flavor your whipped cream and drink the bottom. Best tasting clean out you'll get.
Here is another amazing testimony. I had a little cry over this one:
I wanted to tell you that I went to Olive Garden tonight for dinner with friends. I can't believe that I did not consume pasta or bread and I didn't even feel deprived!!!! I ordered the Caprese Shrimp with Broccoli and it was GREAT!!! They poured the Shrimp and sauce over the broccoli. I was surprised that it was such an easy choice for me. HUGE mental step!!!!! This is from Deena. I am so proud of her! And, I am looking for her to really bring some yummy, healthy recipes to the table (get it) for 2012. :)
SOOOO - some not so good news, which is really GREAT news - our precious Jennie is moving to Texas in a couple of weeks to take a multimedia position at a church. By a fluke they saw her video that she made for our women's conference and LOVED it - contacted her for an interview and LOVED her. She is going for a 3 month test run and then the final decisions will be made. Even though this is hard for me, it is a great blessing for her. She needs a job and this is what she went to school to do - so win/win. Let's all pray for her as she prepares to relocate and bring her talents to bless another church. Maybe someday she will be home working at our church. Let's pray God's best for her and her mom, Cheryl.
I am on the way to see my foot doctor for him to decide if the toe nail that I lost in a violent accident is growing back or lost forever. My husband has prayed and stood in faith that God will restore and make that injury come to life. (remember, the nail was ripped completely off when struck with a 75 pound beam. It took 7 stitches and over an hour to bring the nail bed back together. Not much hope given - we'll see - today is the day.)
Choose life and eat to live, PK
