August 1, 2012 - A New Trick

Good morning fam - short blog this morning as I am heading out of mom's home to repack and then to Destin tomorrow. No blog tomorrow - will be driving all day. :) New trick: If you are trying to determine IF you want something to eat........really......and the question is.......am I REALLY hungry? Do I NEED to eat? Do this: Let's say you want an afternoon snack.......a doughnut......to determine IF you're hungry OR just bored......ask yourself, "would I eat an apple instead of the doughnut???" If yes, you would eat the apple, then probably you ARE hungry so find something healthy to eat. If NO, you wouldn't eat the apple, you're NOT hungry - skip eating and wait to refuel at the next meal.
